Michael is a dual degree holder from the Strathmore School of Management and Commerce (Finance major) as well as the University of Nairobi Law School. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and is currently a fellow of the Alibaba eFounders Program; a program of high performing entrepreneurs from Africa selected to work closely with Alibaba Holdings on their Pan African businesses.

Michael is the co-founder and COO of Lipa Later, which is a credit, payments and shopping platform that operates in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria and Rwanda. As a business, Lipa Later has also been recognised by the London Stock Exchange Group as one of Africa’s most inspiring companies.

He is motivated by the success of the business, its partners and customers. Michael has helped in the expansion of the business both across the regions and building up a world class team.

To him success means, the use of strategies, experiences learnt along the way and overthinking outside the box to ensure an organization takes it’s business to the next level – always getting better in whatever we do. Results drive him. In his free time, Michael is an avid football fan and extremely active in community service projects across Kenya.
